Parasitology

Parasitology is the study of parasites, organisms that live on or within another organism (their host) and derive nourishment from it. In veterinary medicine, this focuses on parasites that affect pets, causing discomfort, health problems, and even posing a risk to humans in some cases.

Skin scrapping examination
Description

The test identifies deep dwelling mites in skin, fungal hyphae and spores on hair.

Fecal sample examination
Description

This test identifies ova of gastrointestinal parasites by examining faecal sample of animals

Peripheral blood smear examination
Description

This test includes the study of morphology of RBC, WBC, platelets. Presence of inclusion bodies in the cells and evaluation for the presence of blood parasites.
